Eco Echo Studio is a landscape design, installation, maintenance, and consulting studio based in Atlanta, GA.

We work in service to the incredible biodiversity and cultures of the Outer Piedmont of the Southeast, echoing ecology and fostering connection. Through careful site analysis and a focus on native horticulture and ecology, we design according to the special characteristics of each site, amplifying its natural beauty. Putting the right plant in the right place translates to lower maintenance, fewer demands on resources, and increased resilience. We’re not purists, but aiming for 75% native species in our designs gives wildlife a chance to flourish.

As with the rest of the landscape, sustainability and client success are a priority when designing with fruit, herbs, and vegetable beds. We also try to use or repurpose existing materials onsite as much as possible.

With love to our grandparents’ gardens, we want to design in ways that rise to the challenges we face today and give us hope for the future. All of these factors create a frame for design to thrive from the ground up.

Alex Lampert is an ecological landscape designer, born and raised in the city in the forest with a dozen years lived elsewhere. Early on, she was a kid who dreamed of painting on trees and making art in creeks. As an adult, before working in landscape design, she worked in sustainable and local food systems and as a chef and as a supply chain and nonprofit worker. These experiences informed a deep respect for hospitality that grew, extended into the natural world, and now impact how she develops sensory experiences, layers textures, and designs regenerative spaces that nourish people, wildlife, and the land.
